The FTU 4 connects telephone,TAM and fax / modem to one main line. The incoming call is tested by an electronic switch which connects it automatically, no annoying ringing when a fax comes in.
By normal telephone operation the caller is informed by a special tone while the FTU 4 is signalizing an incoming call with a standard ringtone.
If the call is not answered within 10 rings (programmable), the connection will be cancelled or passed onto theTAM or to the fax machine.
